HISTORY OF CONCORD VETERINARY HOSPITAL

Concord Veterinary Hospital was established in a mobile home on September 7, 1979, while our original hospital was being built. Back then, 'Farragut' was the area approaching Lovell Road and west, while 'Concord' was the Concord Road area up to Smith Road. Since then, Farragut has incorporated and Concord Veterinary Hospital has served two generations of pet owners.

It has been a very exciting time, especially in the progress of veterinary medicine. Pets have an increasingly intrinsic role in family life and activity. Pharmaceutical and technological advances have allowed veterinarians to provide sophisticated, quality-of-life, and life-sustaining care. In 1995, we moved into our new spacious building, accommodating for current and future advances.

Our easily accomplished mission is to maintain the same energy, enthusiasm, and standard of attentive patient care as when we opened our doors. As many veterinary hospitals progress, in addition to the broad base of services, they develop a special area of interest. Ours is pet dentistry. Periodontal disease is the most common ailment in dogs and cats over four years old. In addition to our overall focus on dentistry, we have a veterinarian on staff for advanced and referral dentistry.
